how tight bleed valve?

hi guys

to run stock boost with a turbosmart bleeder the valve must be fully closed and tightened yes? cauz i know sumone who says they are still running 15psi but they didnt close it fully with a tool just his hands..should he use plyers or a wrench to fully tighten the valve? thanks guys :) any suggestions will help

we fitted a GFB bleeder to my mates MY01 rex, and when tightened right in, it was showing less than standard boost on the guage...

i think how it works is that if your car didnt previously have an electronic boost control, 'right in' will be stock. otherewise you need to tune it. we needed to open the bleeder a fair few turns before we got back to stock, then more to get the desired increase.
