In regards to what JiVE said:

"And if your after the 'flutter' sound this can also be acheived through the stock bov. Just get a POD and pull the vacum hose out of the BOV. Make sure you block it off real good however, or you will stall."

Have any of you guys actually done that? And what is it about that that would flutter? I've heard of the fluttering before, but i don't know what causes it.

And what sort of effect would this have on driving and safety of my engine and parts?

Is that safe? isnt that making the BOV useless?

If you want the pppsssshhh sound just install a pod filter. Some are quiet loud and they wont cause your car to stall & back fire... (Make sure you get some sort of cold air box with it though...)

Thank you all for your responses.

Scanning 500+ pages of the manual and converting to pdf...would take a while. I want to scan it anyway so I don't get it dirty when working on my new girl ;)

I know some of you think that a bov is surpurfulous, I don't want to get in trouble with the cops either, I just love the sound :D I have enough dramas with the cops in my N13 pulsar GL

Looked at ROH 17" Fury wheels for my car today. $2300 inc tyres. Gees, things have become expensive, it's been about 5 years since I've bought stuff like this, I am really out of the loop.

When i Installed my Blitz BOV i had to take off the stock BOV and replace it with a metal plate to seal off the hole. I did the test without the BOV hooked up and the Flutter sounds great.!!

I also found with the adjustmant screw on the Blitz, at low boost i could make the same sound.

Unsure if it will work if you just unhook the vacume line... as there is a small hole in the stock BOV that bleeds pressure off..... No idea why....

I just took off my stock rb25det bov last night to replace it with GFB Mach 1

its gone on no problems, but the recirculating pipe back to turbo, or the rubber tube that covers the old b.o.v so that it goes to airbox is now left open...

i called gfb to get the rubber BUNG to plug it up, but i started car last night, & yea it was idleing fine, but when revved, it started to sound as though it was chugging along,

the bung is being delivered to me today my gfb, but can i still drive to the ervo in it for milk & bread & shit, or THE PLUG MUST BE IN PIPE?

Tight fit.... or should that be "toight fit mate"... anyway

It was similer size to the rubber hose and slotted in, i just did the clamps up real good and tested with bag to see if there was any pressure loss... (none of course)

There's a website that reckons you can modify the stock BOV to be able to handle 30psi without leaking. Not 100% sure if it's the same BOV as the stock one in a Skyline but it looks very similar, maybe you could try the same thing?. Go to http://www.thedodgegarage.com/turbo_bov_mod.html

Find the 'recirculating valve' that will be attached somewhere between your compressor outlet and your throttle body (if your car already has one). The cheapest way to make this vent to atmosphere (pssh) is to:

* disconnect and plug the return hose

* put some type of filter over the "new" outlet on the valve.

Note that with an AFM car, you're now dumping air which your meter(s) have measured...

Does the GTS25t has its own standard BOV or BPV? Im planning to install a bov after market bov. Is that a good idea?

Hey buddy, your beautiful line already has a highly effective BOV from the factory!!

You'll do well to keep it! (unless your planning some other seriously insane power mods!!). Cops won't hassle you as much either, I guess! ;)

What i meant was whether the auto uses a BPV or Bov cause i saw em in another thread about it

I am considering to put in a HKS SSQV BOV with the whistle sound.

I'm aware of the fact that it'll attracts cops.

But as long as i drive like a turtle and change gear at RPM 2000 odd, the BOV will not sound (correct me if I'm wrong).

I just like the "whistling" sound from the SSQV. that's y i'm considering to get it.

in terms of running richer, is true. But tuning is all about getting it to run at optimum (correct me if i'm wrong again).
