Hey everyone

Two days ago i was driving and my clutch started slipping on acceleration. So i deffinetely need a new one.

I had a excedy heavy duty. My car is a r32 gts4 (4wd) rb20det 210kw and and has a r32 gtr gearbox.

What clutch should i get from the extreme and excedy range?

thanks

candyboy

up to 300rwkw apparently - have one in my car and they feel quiet good

That should do the job, just make sure its a genuine EXEDY with the pink pressure plate not one with the cheap shit OEM pressure plates like some people sell on this forum

Kudosmotorsports are pretty good

its a bit much for a car that will never really ever see over 350hp

something like a twin plate will probably blow the box before it blows the clutch, would rather have a single plates die due to strain over a gearbox

safer to a go single plate IMO

buy once......buy right.

EXEDY multiplates come with a sprung/dampened centre. so the gearbox doesnt take up the shock, the clutch does.

it is alot of money tho.

when i was looking at their single plate range i was "recommended" the brass button heavy duty clutch.

they told me it can hold around the 300kw area,

Hey everyone

I went to speedparts in berwick to ask about a clutch. They called excedy and i spoke to a salesperson from excedy. He said a multiplate would not last aslong as a single plate because of how much stopping and starting i will be doing on the street, He also said i dont need the clamping pressure of the twin plate. Then said i need the longevity of the cushion button.

Is this true? i thought a twin plate would last longer.

I was quoted 600 for the excedy heavy duty cushion button. Should i go with the button, cushion button or twin plate? keep in mind the twin plate is $2000(i think)?

Thankyou
