Handbrake Light Flashes?

Just today, my handbrake light started to come on while cruising and if i go on bumps it might flash a few times, and after 10mins of driving, it disappears.

Whats causing this?

Check your brake fluid levels. When it gets low, the hand brake light will light up.

could also be the switch is a bit loose

low brake fluid... its probably on the tip of being low, thats why when it giggles around it probably triggers the sensor..

Thanks but it hasn't come on lately. And no i did not top it up.

i had similar problem when i took roundabouts too quick.

Turn the car left/right quickly whilst driving, see if the light turns on.

My problem was low brake fluid, topped it up and no more handbrake light

mine does this from the old Handbrake connection from a turbo timer - the handbrake switch is an earth switch, so if there is a line off the handbrake switch to a turbo timer(or left over wire) it could be earthing on the tunnel.
