Hey mate, we have the ISC kits available for $399 and the spec M for a touch over $600. The next step up in the trrust range is the spec v for approx $1350. If your not going for massive hp then the first 2 kits will be fine.

have a look at the new just jap kits that use the stock pipine, very cool!

i am looking at getting one of these, the only problem i have is that the factory piping is 2.25" (internal) and the one i have now is 2.5 and the core is both smaller and thinner trying to figure out how much difference it would make Vs the convience of not having to run the piping over the engine any more.

the just jap one is pretty decent looking, im running a similar setup now using stock piping.

however i will be upgrading to a just jap type 2 or mspec greddy because i plan on running a foward facing plenum, and boxing up my pod and using the hole from the standard intercooler piping to run a CAI.

keep that in mind when you purchase... if you buy an intercooler that retains factory piping you cant use it with a foward facing plenum, and it makes space tight for a cai setup

i have a justjap stealth kit that uses stock piping and imitates the ARC type. if you can search and find my post you will see how i did. honestly, for an extra hundred dollars i would highly advise to get the greddy (but i believe the justjap kits are now similar in price give or take a few dollars). im not sure how much blitz are now a days but they use stock piping as well and have a wider core than the ARC's. in saying so, save more and you can boast and make others blush by buying the ARC fmic.

like the guys above - buy your kit from a proper shop. the "made in china" kits will cause alot of propblems (from what i have seen and heard, welds have snapped under load due to poor craftmanship). what i mean is the weld joins at the core rattle apart. other kits works just as well as any other you can buy for a decent price that are manufactured to a good standard.

the real question(s) is/are:

do you want to drill extra holes for the return piping? if no, then get the blitz or ARC. if yes, then greddy.

do you want to take off a bit of your thermal fan? in my opinion, doesn't do anything to the thermal fans function if you chop it to fit the thicker cores.

do you want to drill an extra mounting hole on the bonnet latch? the justjap kits sit too high in my opinion if you see the pictures in one of my posts. if i were to lower it then it would look just like the blitz kits. so if you do not mind the extra work then get the justjap. if you do mind then again, get the blitz.

do you want a quality fmic? ofcourse you would, then buy a bloody reputable fmic! they are all simillar in price! buy one from a brand that has been around in japan for generations and know their stuff about performance cars!

i know you only asked whether to buy a greddy or hybrid so i would say - greddy hands down. but save that little bit more and get either the blitz or ARC. you will not regret it.

I bought the Greddy and am real happy with it... As long as your careful with the piping, you dont need to take any edges off the rad-fan at all... Mine clears no dramas...

The other nice thing is that if I ever sell the car, it has a genuine japanese hi-performance cooler on the fron which most people like...

considered buying one from a real shop?

Useless post of the century

sorry links dont work, genuine Hybrid is $550 and Trust/Greedy Type M is around $600

just jap ones that use the standard piping were around $550 which is the same as a whole kit

i know i have to cut a hole in engine bay and that i wont have to cut fan

what i wanted to know is does one of these simular priced intercoolers perform better than the other ?

i brought the greddy m spec and the blitz LM , and to be honest! i would buy both but because i live in melbourne and the area i live in, my car is a cop b8.. Having the greddy cooler will even make things worse because i would need to cut a hole! underneath my washer bottle, and the blitz LM fits bueatifully perfect and im being honest. but unforantaly when i got my EPA i got angy and took it off and sold it!

I bet your kicking yourself!

Im looking at one for my R33, and they seem to be around the $1270-$1290NZD mark, shipped, so far with quotes from Nengun and Greenline. (and to make my post more Aussie friendly, about $1080AUD :D )

Anywhere else i could look? They are probly the cheapest.. but hey, cant hurt to shop.

i would recommend going into Autobarn or someplace like that.....i got my Trust Vspec kit for the price of Mspec they had a major stuff up.....but i am really really happy with this cooler.....really good and installation is easy as just a bit time consuming.....and my cooler clears the fans no problems...

Urgh, not Autobarn! Sorry, I have endless problems with them.

Even went there yesterday for pads for Nissan 4 pots. The salesman was very vague on where to start looking for them.
