Engine Doesnt Smell Good....

Hey,

Decided to take off from the lights a bit quicker than normal today and my clutch slipped really bad into second! When i put it into 2nd the clutch slipped for about 3 seconds! Now after i drive the engine smells really bad.... like burnt clutch! Does this mean i fu*ked it? Or will the smell go away?

I dont understand? You pretty much answered your own question. Your clutch is slipping, it smells if it slips. You need a new clutch.

drive it around, and load it up

if its slips continously then its toast

if it was just a once off it might be ok

^^ As paul said. If it keeps doing it then its toast if not then its fine.

My clutch (twin plate of some sort) has slipped only once, when I first picked it up from getting its 250kw tune and i thought it was stuffed. Since then i have had 1-2 nights of doing nothing but launching the car and burnouts (calder park not the street) and i just cant kill it!! So you may not have ot get a new clutch just yet.
