Motor Out Of Puff

Hey guys,

I have a 180sx with a RB20DET in it Mines ECU, Cooler and a zorst.

When i got the car i used to feel it pull hard when i put my foot down, now days i do and i dont even get that pull feeling.

I have checked out for any boost leaks and there is none.

Im thinking it could be coil packs or spark plugs?

Any thoughts?

Could be many things.

I'd take it to the dyno, see what the AFR's and so on are doing, then start looking at it.

lol im not too sure about this but how long ahve you had the car for??? if only a short period of time and your quickest car so far... uve just gotten used to that feeling of boost and the adrenalin doesnt flow as much...

happened in my rb20det powered vl wagon and my gtr...... just feel slower after a while..... just baby it around all week under 3 grand then at the end of the week have a spireted run and it will feel quick again

Thats one more advantage of a daily driver.

I drive a 1.3L Corolla to work, mates places, parties, just about everywhere pretty much.

When there is a track day on or if I get an itchy right foot I have a 285RWKW R32 in the garage... And it feels stupid fast even whilst wheel spinning through the first 3 gears

When you have a daily driver, the novelty of your track car just never wears off.

R31 Nismoid is spot on. You'll most likely spend forever working out what it could be. There's so many components that can get tired and reduce performance. A dyno run and some analysis by a tuner will tell you what component is tired in a few minutes and isn't expensive.

About how much would it be?

The only reason why i said coil packs or spark plugs is because i read a while ago some one said eather coil packs or spark plugs can cause this and i have not changed them since i got the car and i dont know when the last owner did eather.
