I left my car at a shopping centre car park today and I came back, someone has scraped my front bar!!

There's no dints but they took the paint off ;)

So I'm wondering if I have to respray the whole bar? or just that little section or just get some touch up paint to fix it up.

Does anyone have an idea of how much it will cost and where I could go to get it fixed in SE Melb? so no one can notice it afterwards?

Go see Harry or Tim at Police rd panels Police rd near the junction..

they have done some work for me for in the past including front bar respray and i highly recommend them for price and workmanship and customer service.

tell them you are from the forums.

someone gouged my front bumper a while back in the parking lot, peeled my license plate back too like a sardine can. I knocked it back with filler and gave it to my mates dad who works at a place that paints those factory HSV bodykits. I just hope the other car came off second best.

you could probably get away with "as above" matching the paint and then professionally knocking it back and finishing it off with a good buff.

the front bar doesnt have ANY dints on it (lucky me). when i run my hand across it, it still feel smooth-ish, just that the coat of paint is missing :D so i just thought i just need some touch up paint that i could brush on myself?

yeah as troy said they colour match

i went to a workshop in the city with a similar type of damage, they quoted $300 to repsray the small section but ended up spraying the whole bar cos they said it was easier, at the same price

    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365.
