It is the only one left in the world - so i'm guessing its $$$ value would be close to $100,000 if not more, but what its worth to Malcolm is undescribable!

But its also worth what someone would be willing to pay for it!

i agree with what you are saying...id love for this car to be proven to be what it has been stated it is. No problem, read one of my earlier posts up the page. But there must be some sort of documentation from Nissan/Nismo to prove its worth, its now one of the most contraversial Nissan vehicles on our shores. Without such proof, people are slicing holes in Malcoms and the cars credibility and some of his conflicting statements are making the fact even worse. Not withstanding this car is an awesome piece of machinery and a credit to him, no ones for a moment doubting that, it seems a little sus thats all.

Why is there so little politeness on forums? You wouldn't punch a guy in the face if you thought he was exaggerating so why the e-punch?

please dont close the thread...id like to see if the claims can be substantiated.

just hand out some warnings for clearly offensive remarks.

i cannot stress enough how i would love to see this car proven to be what it is. To have it on our shores and part of our motoring community would be a great honour. But until then its origin will always have a great element of doubt attached to it.

If its fake who gives a rats arse, let him have his car and be proud of it. Does it hurt your big dollar cars that you've paid other people to build?? I think not.

Seems there is only ever hatred and egos amoung people that should be leading by example!!!

I, like many here, was under the impression that this car was an original proto... then someone called some sort of bluff and then this became a car that was built to have the same power and modifications that Nissan or Nismo actually thought of doing... kinda gave it a go... they made three.... but thought... naaaah!... let's make the Micra.. You, Malcolm, then decided that this could be that elusive third "meh" and rebuilt it... right?

For that alone, congratulations. The car looks great and would make anyone proud.

I have already mentioned how much I like this car. Great job, Malcolm.

Out of interest, what was the original turbo that was on this car before the TD05 was fitted?

nismo generally uses ihi turbos, it would be one i guess.

also not having a stab, but to make this a actual genuine "nismo 2500R" he should follow the same trend as doing up a "genuine" gt falcon.. and source genuine 1993-1995 model parts as this was the date the car was made.

you cant expect to build up a geniune gt falcon and put on a set of pace maker headers and a cold air intake.... and pass it a "genuine". thats why the real ones get 500k+ not 45k.... down to the tyres and brake pads.

still a very clean car. but to achieve what you seem to want the only way would be to go back 15 years and take delivery of it.

its the same deal as the "nismo" r32 gtr's its just a body kit lol. nothinbg else. oh the badge too.. what inlet manifold did it apparently roll off with?

but for all intents and purposes a genuine nissan proto HAS to have NISSAN parts ONLY.

you cant get a r34 z tune and bolt on some hks turbos and a set of enkies and say its a "genuine nismo article"

but nice car. very clean and well presented. id lose all the brand name non nismo parts but..

Hi Malcom, ive met you before and commented to you about your car, i feel somewhat betrayed by what you have led people to believe the car is. Can you please show some sort of documentation or the like from Nissan to varify your claims about this car. Id love you to prove to me what you have is authentic so i can apoligise to you for doubting your credibility. Id love more than anyone to see this car as an authentic piece as at the moment its looking like some sort of "mock-up".

i thought he also said somewhere along the lines that the car came with a plenum in the boot? if so.. why wasnt that used? if nismo did make such a thing and the plenum came in the boot that was suppose to go on it.. why wasnt it used.

HI THERE :cheers: - IT DID HAVE A PLENUM IN THE BOOT A GT-R ONE - IT WAS DAMAGED - HAD A CRACK IN IT FROM MEMORY - CHEERS MALCOLM :)

HI THERE :cheers: - BEST I GIVE A CLUE IN RELATION TO THE "VALUE COMPETITION" - YOU NEED TO COMPARE ITS RELATIVE VALUE WHEN ITS 25 YEARS OLD IN MINT MODIFIED CONDITION TO A 1972 MODEL GLX DATSUN 1600 OR BETTER STILL ANY DATSUN 1600 SSS - NOW THESE CARS WERE ABOUT $3500.00 NEW AND A REALLY GOOD ONE LIKE THE BEST ONE ANYWHERE WILL GO FOR AS MUCH AS $25000.00 - MOST LIKELY MODDED TO THE MAX WITH AN FJ20 WITH ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES ETC.

The runs were on, track was dry.. no rain, GTR wasn't there, end of...

and yes i would.. what's it gonna do? Melt?

Back on topic though, I do admit reading the first post of the thread that I was under the impression that it was a Nismo/Omori prototype and the end product was a pristine example, however, reading back now, there's little clues in the way it was written that could leave it open to interpretation.

For what it's worth I think the car has/will have no more extrinsic value than any other random GTS25T with the same mods however it's intrinsic value to it's owner may be much higher.
