r33 transmission

hi guys

just wondering if anyone knows anything about trnasmissions

because my r33 transsmission is making a slight noise. it sounds like a brake pad rubbing onto the rotor but i got it checked out and the tranny place said it was definetly from the trans. has anyone had this problem with car b4 if so what can it be

how much will it set me bacK???

You cant really diagnose something like that over the net, But most of the people here will tell you a band-aid solution like put a good quality oil in there. Its up to you but I would be inclined to get a mechanic/gbox specialist to take it for a spin.

does it happen in all gears?

do you hear this ALL the time, or is it only when u are braking? i am probably paranoid but i get scraping when i come to a stop slowly. i think this time it is the brake pad against the rotor.

just in lower gears and especially when the car has been running for a while

I hear a similar sounding noise in 2nd and 4th gear only. I think in mine it is a countershaft bearing.
