hey guys i dunno if any1 has suggested this yet but i havent spotted it, what i did on my old s13 was when i upgraded to the s15 turbo i just whacked on a sard fuel pressure reg, and then my mate did the same to his r32 with an r34 neo turbo. up the fuel pressure a lil bit and gives ur cylinders the extra squirt u need for the more air ur inducting, the more boost, the more fuel u can run, will cost shit all to put on the dyno to check uv got the right afrs'

Shouldn't need a fpr, aslong as the fuel pump is in good order the ecu will do the rest. You generally want to trim a bit of fuel out anyway which is why people get SAFC's for minor mods instead of a full tune.

P.S. my last power run cost $70, not a big cost to make sure your afr's are alright..

sorry to bump an old thread but just wanted to confirm something. should i use the stock rb20 turbo wastgate system on the r34 neo turbo? apart from the elbow is everything else perfectly bolt in?

rb20 actuator is 10psi right?

*aslong as you don't have a really early 32 with the smaller bango bolt

hmm i dunno what year mine is will double check ( tis a track pig ) can you mannually adjust the actuator for 14 psi or will i need a boost controller to do this?

+1 spend 70$ and get it checked on the dyno

stock ecu's can be strange things , lean when they should be rich and vice versa

btw i read the dyno upgrade thread but unless i missed it no one on there posted results with a neo turbo? plenty of rb25 s1 and s2 though.

Would it be unreasonable to ask for 200rwhp on a build like below.

My RB20 with stock turbo made 200rwhp at 14psi, with series 1 RB25 at 12psi it made 245rwhp.

I would expect an RB20 with a Neo turbo at 14psi to be making somewhere around 260-280rwhp.

btw can the series 1 rb25 r33 turbo run higher boost safley than the neo turbo? the series 1 is steel wheel right?

I believe 33 is ceramic wheel and r34 is nylon

Nope, they're both ceramic rear wheeled. The s1 r33 turbo has a nylon comp wheel, the others have an ally wheel.

Nope...

They are all ceramic turbine wheels yes, but the compressor wheel on an RB20 and RB25 series 1 turbo are steel. The compressor wheels on series 2 RB25 and Neo are nylon.

as said they all have ceramic turbine wheels, and this is what usually fails running high boost. its simply too much heat for it
