and yeh i thought i was super electric charged hero as well... weird thing, and goin totally off topic. but my ex-gf used to have one of those touch lamp things and if i was holding onto the lamp and she touched me, it used to go on and off, but if she was holding the lamp and i touched her it didn't.

so i figured that i was like some super conducter and bridged the gap between her and the light.

hahaha i get zapped all the time... especially when dressed for work in pantyhose or stockings.... if you go to the supermarket you can buy a bottle of anti-static spray from the laundry section... spray it on your seats and carpets and allow to dry... you'll never get zapped again

Another solution: before you get out of the car, open the door (obviously) and touch the ground outside with your hand. Doing so discharges the static electricity - no more zaps.

If my gf is in the car, i let her get zapped first...that works just as well!

i embarassed myself yesterday at uni when i shouted 'ah f**k!' for what looked like no apparent reason after getting zapped again...this has got to stop!!

just use the window to close the door instead of the door!

alternatively i sometimes just make a fist and close the door with my knuckles - doesn't hurt nearly as much cos ur skin is stretched out and doesnt have much feeling in it!
