Hey everybody, so ill start the story from the beginning, i bought an r34 gtt about 2 months ago now paid just over 18g for it i know cheap aye, anyway wat i found out yesterday after the police rocked up at my house was that the guy had reported it stolen the day i bought it, because being young and not knowing wiser i paid him and filled out the change of rego papers and he said that he would take them to public transport and so obvioulsy he didnt reported the car stolen said that i took it for a test drive and didnt come back, and apparently i also took his 40 inch plasma from his house as well, and seeing as i cant prove that it was my car with no rego or receipt i know stupid of me im now out 18g and a car and now have to go to court for stealing a car, this is f**king bullshit

P.S. i know where this guy lives he will be getting a visit from me

Should be right dude. Im sure your bank records of drawing a bank cheque in his name for 18,000.00 when shown along with his bank records showing a bank cheque deposit of 18,000.00 will show you paid.

However if he was smart the bank cheque would be in someone elses name and not trace-able to him.

why diddnt you do a revvs checks?

:D the guy he bought it from reported it stolen.......

:D that dude you bought the car from is a tool.... wanna name and shame him??? just incase he tried to do the same thing again....

wanna buy my car ?

but seriously, feel free to post his name and address, i'm sure a few people would love to do some 'drive-bys' with some googy eggs.

Guy who bought my 33 failed as well to lodge rego papers, received about 5 speeding and parking fines shortly after. got it sorted though. Hopefully a court case or two will fix things for you...then the revenge starts.

There will be transactions for the bank cheque, that will be enough proof. You're nuts for giving him the papers to file, the new owner should take them.

Either way you have his details, that should be sweet enough to sort things out. Also a 40" won't fit into a skyline...I've tried

On another note apparently my car is still stolen as well, I keep getting pulled up as they haven't removed the flag off my plates from the previous car getting flogged 3 years ago!

32" will. . . . I tried before. . . but will need a extra battery to support everything. . . . lol . . . .

Sorry being off topic

Sounds like he had sellers remorse and wanted more than $18K for it after you drove off....figured he'd say it was stolen. After 2 weeks of not being recovered, the insurance would have paid him out for a fair bit more, then he'll lie his arse of about what happened.

You'll cop it, he'll be sitting pretty. No doubt he'd have ditched all proof of the cheque etc etc so you'll have to find the proof you have and hope it doesn't go too far.

Cancel the bank cheque, its still possible if u have the receipt

Yeap, no goods, no money. There's really no point expecting this deal to end up with you having the car, and since "you never paid him any money" he can't really complain when you reverse the cheque. Should make a nice overdraw charge on his account if he doesn't have the money anymore.

As part of any court case, I'd expect a copy of his receipt for the purchase of his plasma tv. Prove that he owned it in the first place. If you were taking the car for a test drive, where did you get the time to steal the tv? did you just walk into his house and walk out with it while he was watching?

this is all tru i should either be able to get my money back or the car back or worst case which i wont be happy with is i will end up getting a criminal record for this, i'm not sure if he was a memebr of sau or not i know he lived at *** acacia ridge southside,

and on another note he's gonna get done for insurance fraud on all the stuff he said that i stole along with the tv there was a mountain bike 4 differnt laptops and 8 differnet digi cams along with a ps3 and ps2

The last thing you need is to have some random 'visit' him based on info you've provided then have that come back to bite you - Revhead

wow... i'm sure his insurance company would love to hear from you. there's nothing they like better than insurance fraud.

Haha yeah they're more thorough that the police with things like that....he wouldn't have cashed the cheque though, that's for certain. If he did there would be no contest that he's full of shit.
