Carbon Fibre Bonnets

hey guys, im interested in purchasing a CF bonnet for my R33, i have been looking around for a while but havent really found any that i like.

where would you recommend i look?

Keep in mind thet 95% of the "Carbon Fibre" bonnets are actually Fiberglass bonnets with a Carbon Fibre overlay. Sure, you get the same look but you don't save any weight.

We can help you out. As for the weight saving, you are always going to save compared to a metal item. The main reason most Carbon bonnets use an FRP skeleton is purely to keep the costs down. Most manufacturers can make a full Carbon bonnet but expect the price to double if not triple. So it really is a compromise between money, look and weight.

Whoops yes PSI is correct, you do save weight just not as much as with full CF. He's also right that for most people it's a non-issue, the weight saving is negligable for a street car.

Unless of course you have a GTR - that already has an aluminium hood so you'd probably gain weight with Fibreglass.
