Hey guys, a quick question.

Im about to get a GTR cooler for my gtst but have no idea where to get the pipes made up or what fits and what not... i was thinking a normal piping kit for a gtst would do but the gtr cooler has slightly longer end tanks. Can anyone who has done this shed light on it for me.

Thanks !

Just out of curiosity mate how much did you pick that GTR core for?

Fully kits with piping and core to fit gtst's go for only $600 or so man.....$400 for ISC stuff...getting the piping made for your GTR cooler will prob cost you more...just my thoughts

just take it to a good exhaust place and they should be able to make the piping up for you mate.... places like BTR....D&T exhausts or AAA exhausts......goodluck with it all mate hope it all works out

Brand new $250 the $50 was postage >.> i was pitching over getting a Greddy one but i wanted a black core and im not about to spray a new cooler black...

So i assume the GTR one is already black??

Personally i'd be buying a ISC Kit and spraying it, the pipework and hoses will cost you alot more the way you wanna do it!!

I suggest you sell the GTR core and buy yourself an ISC kit or even a Greddy kit mate.....saves the hassle....i was looking at getting a GTR intercooler but then decided to get a Greddy one and couldnt be happier mate....all fits nicely and does a wicked job of cooling....you can either spray that black or leave it as it is.....either way it will do the job and i have not heard of anyone getting done for a fmic....touch wood

Yeah its already black, they come black stock i believe. All i need is the pipes... not sure which way to go now =/

Maybe 32 GTR coolers come black but my 33GTR cooler i had on the 33 was the old standard silver!! The pipe work that was on mine was like a roller coaster and was not helping, at least the ISC kits pipe work is more direct!!

Hit up Ryan a PM, He doesnt bite!!

Custom Pipework, or hunt down an East Bear piping kit from japan. Id personally go custom pipework, as you can have it exactly where you want it.

Or get a cheaper full kit from ISC/JJR..

For top notch pipework go see Marky @ ET, or LeRoy @ BTR. Will cost a bit more, but it'll be the best.

Hi, Basically our ISC kits are made for RB25DET. There is very very little modification needed to make this kit fit nicely onto an RB20DET. For $399 you really cant go wrong as the kits include a new 600x300x76 core/piping/clamps/silicon hoses etc. Alternativly we can do you a Trust Spec M for $645, this is a straight bolt on item aswell and comes with everything needed for installation.

Thanks,Ryan

gtr cores are good for hi HP.

keep it.

buy a box of pipes (3") off ebay and some good 3ply silicone off ebay again, good bolt-clamps, cut and install at home.

thats what I did

Yeah the reason why i got a gtr cooler is of its mounting points. easy to mount ive heard. what was involved when you did yours? alot of cutting? i can only imagine you'd have to cut the pipe where it joins to the end tanks since they are abit longer.

keep the GTR cooler mate (IMHO)

better design & flow etc than $200 chinese copies

with the pipe kit, just exactly that off ebay for around $120 delivered, a few straight pipes, curved pipes etc

decided what Id need, measured thrice, cut and fit, and re-fit

then took it all apart and lipped the edges of the pipes and reinstalled

no issues

looks like a home job but meh thats me, dodgy 'bros
