Cat Bracket

Perhaps not the right section to be posting this question, BUT......

Just got my zorst done on my R32 and the bloke told me/showed me that i am missing the cat bracket which I am told helps reduce bolt vibration?

Anyway just wondering if and where i am able to purchase one of these or wether I will have to contact Nissan to order one?

im pretty sure you can find one at wreckers easy but i really wouldnt worry about it.

i think it s just a peice of metal with some rubber thing attached to the end.

i chucked it out when i replaced the cat and i can't say i noticed anything too out of ordinary.

Thats kinda what I was thinking, but the zorst bloke then went on to tell me something about the turbo's bolts vibrating and causing something...? not quite sure what he meant!

Ah well, guess ill keep an eye out but wont go out of my way to replace

yeah I would put it on for sure. skyline exhausts, particularly aftermarket are very heavy and need all the support they can get. there are 3 or 4 hangers at the rear, the bracket you are missing between gearbox and cat, and only the front pipe holding it on otherwise

i left mine off when i changed my cat, had no problems since.

i left mine off too. full stainless 3". no problem. the guys that fitted it said it's not an issue
