Transmission Interchangeability?

Hi guys, does anyone know what kind of interchangeability there is with the transmissions across the V35 range? I just noticed in the half cut thread, DRIFTT mentioned that the Z33 tranny is different enough to not work in a V35. What about the 5sp autos found in the 300GT and the coupe, are they the same? I noticed that reconditioned transmissions from G35s in the US go quite cheaply (AU$700 plus shipping). Would these work as a substitute in a 350GT-8 sedan? I read on G35Driver that Series 2 5sp autos do not work in Series 1 because of an auto shift at red line function in the tiptronic which was present in Series 1 but not in Series 2. Does this apply to JDM models?
