Creaking Sound When Taking Speed Humps

Hey,

Noticed recently a creaking sound coming from the front left wheel when taking any speed humps/dips in the road.

When the weather is under 15degree's i get a loud scrubbing/creaking sound when i go up a hump or hit a dip etc. After 15degs its usually quiet unless i take a larger bump at faster speed etc.

If the steering wheel is turned to the right and i take a bump etc the sound seems to be there regardless of weather temperature.

This never happened before and just popped out of the blue.

It sounded like tyre scrubbing so i swapped to stock wheels but the sound is still there.

Took the car to suspension place and got all my adjustable bushes re greased along with a wheel alignment.

The problem is still there...

I currently have second hand KYB shocks with HKS springs.

Would this be my front left shock absorber creating the noise?

My guess would be that it's the shocks making the noises. Have you tried shaking the car and seeing where the sounds coming from roughly?

I have the same issue but its because we painted the springs and the helper spring, so when I hit a hard bump, ie. speedhump, the spring compresses and makes a loud sqeaking sound.

Sounds different to your issue though, can you compress the car when its stationary and get any sound?

I have the exact same thing! I figure it is the shocks because mine are crap. My theory is that when it is cold they are not lubricated properly and it makes noise, but I probably don't know what I'm talking about

i have gone pas tthat stage and now the absorber is dead!... WRAPPED IN PLASTIC! mauahah

nah check your bushes.. seems like dirt has got in..

yeah took it back for an inspection.

They said its most likely another bush which needs to be re-greased. Although its a trial and error process to find the squeaking one
