I've had my R33 GTS-T for six months now. I am new to skyline modding. The car has an X-force exhaust and the actuator mod I beleive that is all. A few questions:

1. I plan to buy a SAFC II or SAFC Neo asap. Is this a good option for piggyback? What does the neo offer in the real world that the II does not?

2. I am looking for 200-250rwkw, maybe more in the future. What tuners in the Albury or Melbourne area's tune with SAFC's that you would personally reccomend?

3. What other mods to get to this power range safley other than a safc, clutch and intercooler may I need?

4. My brother has an XR6 Turbo and has the stock intercooler laying around (as hes replaced to get over the 300rwkw mark), will this be any use to me for the lowish power im aiming for?

Thanks for any tips guys.

1. the SAFC II is a fuel / air piggy back... the SAFC neo does that as well as allowing you to play with timing... which helps alot with turbo upgrades... cheaper option... you wont need this unless ur planning to change ur turbo

2. my mate has rb25 r32, but he at one point dynoed it with stock cept zorst, cooler, power FC and splitfire coilpacks at 210rw kw.. u would want to get a new turbo if u want over 200kw.. stock turbo wont handle more that 12psi hapily... can go further... i ran my r33 turbo on my rb20 r32 up to 17psi and handled it right, but it died quite quickly... ceramic wheel, not so great.. .i would recommend a garret 2530.. great responsive turbo, at the power range ur lookn for

3. clutch cooler and safc is easy way of gettin power.. a good exhaust system does help too. xforce is good.. get urself a dump and front pipe and high flow cat... great way to open up possibilities... a good fuel pump.. bosche 040 around the 330$ mark i think, great for a start.. and def a short shifter..

4. could make that cooler work.. but it does a bit of a bend i think in generall.. can pick up a cooler kit from sponsors for about 350$ mark.. cheap and decent makes.

PFC is a full replacement ECU for the car, SAFC is simply a tool that trick the standard ECU into working properl with the mods you have. PFC is a far better unit but also comes with a higher price tag.

What you will need for 200rwkw-

1. Full exhaust from turbo to tip

2. Boost Control

3. Intercooler (R34 SMIC will be fine for up to 200rwkw, any more get a front mount)

4. Fuel pump

5. Clutch

6. ECU (huge amount of options, TOSHI remap seems very good value and retains the stock computer)

7. Air filter, either pod or upgraded panel

What you will need for 250rwkw-

1. All of the above

2. Z32 AFM

3. Bigger fuel injectors, the S15 480cc's will be fine for this power level.

4. Turbocharger upgrade, look in the rb25det upgrade thread for heaps of info. I'm currently making 249.7kw on 16 psi with a bolt on hi flow, which only cost $1050 second hand with onl a few hundred km's on it.

5. Tune.
