Hks Ssqv Bov Install

Hi all

i have tried looking and looking and cannot find a thread to show how to install a hks bov on a R33

Just wondering if anyone had any pics on how do this or just incase i have missed anything point me to the thread which might have this info

well i got it for free and thought i would try and put it on, yes i dont mind that retarded noise

i know to take the stock one off and bolt the hks one on but with the stock bov you have the thin hose and then there is a big black one that comes out the other side,

what happens with the thick one?

you have to block off the big one, as i believe this is the plumbback line?

block of the big thick black line which is the plumb back line, and the little black line is a vaccum line which you will re-use on the hks bov. h

Well (to my knowledge) a car that is set up with MAF usually has a recirculating BOV(Nissan, Chevy, Volkswagen). This is because the MAF directly calculates the air flow entering the engine. In a MAP sensor system without the MAF is called a "Speed Density" system(Dodge likes to use these system). That means that the airflow is calculated instead of being measured directly. The reason for a car with MAF running like crap when you vent to the atmosphere is because the engine is expecting that excess airflow to be plumbed back into the intake system. They run richer because the air isn't there but the fuel is (rough idle, black smoke between shifts). With a MAP Sensor it either sees the air or it doesn't and make the adjustments as needed.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong because I'm just going by what I know and I'm sure someone out there know a lot more than I do.
