you will be less fuel efficient.

1. the more power you make the more richer your ecu runs (assuming you have standard ecu)

2. you will love the sound and performance so much you wont be off your accelerator pedal.

fuel efficiency comes down to 2 things. city/hwy driving and your right foot.

yeah right now i find its weird cause my car is pretty stock and also an auto which makes its easy to drive since i do over 30k's a year .. i just like driving alot LOL .. but i can constantly be accelerating hard all the time but not notice much difference at all in the economy .. hope this doesn't change when i get the dump pipe ... :)

I've heard the same EVOIV - but it seems there are varying opinions now! I know mine has slightly better economy - hardly enough to notice really though..but its not any worse.

Yeah, more power = more fuel...but that's only because you want the AFR to be constant (optimum) and with more power, there is an increase in air flow...hence you need more fuel to keep the AFR at a good level.

Batman specials??? What sized dump you going for? 3.0"? 3.5"? I think mine is now 3.0", but used to be 3.5" when I had the larger turbo on. Ahh heck! Why not go for the 4.5" :)

there is no myth to this guys.

on a standard ecu, air/fuel ratio will run to about 10.5:1. this is because the power its making is beyond the fuel maps of the standard ecu. hence the ecu will throw all the fuel it can at the engine to try and keep it safe.
