Hey guys, after buy myself a 1994model r33 jsut before christmas, today i found out the engine has had enough and has blown 2 pistons, car still runs drives(not very well tho) so it is time to rebuild, basically im not after another 2nd hand engine at all, going down the path of a rebuild so i know what i got this time,

so i got a roughish quote for 6g forgies metal head gasket bore build bearings studs, so what have others done whats about for that price range what good bits are out there what to do while the motors apart rb 30 bottom end etc etc? any advice apreciated,,so far looking to spend around the 6 grand mark in around 8 weeks time thanks Rusty

depends what u have f*ked... you may have fkd the bore, the crank etc

6k seems reasonable with forgies if they do the work.

i did a sr for $800 with a s15 crank ($350) and metal headgaket, rings, etc. but all your money will be in the parts like forged pistons arent cheap!.
