And that's my point

No-one has really much info to back that up!

But then for the power/response i was making on my RB25 (GT30), im expecting my GT-SS set-up to eat it alive, just off the factory ECU it already feels more responsive, builds boost earlier etc etc... when i do i'll get a lay-over if my tuner still carries my old graphs, i dont expect it to look in the GT30's favour considering how much nicer the car is now without even a tune

Yeah I understand what you mean, and without proof I (or neither of us) can really debate it. I can tell you that my car (RB25 + GT30R) monsters any GTR I have driven for spool etc. I can't promise how much it is to do with vehicle weight however. I've never driven a GTR with GT-SS however, but they wouldn't make any more power than a GT30 would they?

i think the 30r will get you there no problems

ash, i dont think its fair to compare 25 and 26 setups. i believe my results on a 35r at the very least matches a mates 26 with 2530's for response, not to mention the single setup is a million times easier to work on

I am glad you said that - I have said similar before and been flamed for it. A mate of mine is making in the high 300kw @ wheels area with his R32 GTR running a .82a/r GT3582R and it feels better on the road than another mates GTR running twin GT2530s. The GT3582R car and the GT2530 are running the same boost, the GT3582R is faster down the 1/4 (trap speed and ET) and doesn't need to be basically bounced off a limiter/launch control to launch without bogging. It feels to me like a better setup, and its far tidier, easier and more impressive to look at haha.

GT-SS is same as a GT30 (both 600hp i believe)

And the GT-SS pull like factory turbos but just keep pulling and you can add another 8-10psi into em

Apart from throttle and plenum, 25/26 are much the same, capacity is a nothing issue really.

I dunno, i just cant see a GT30 on a 26 being leagues better than the 25 like i've felt going from 25/gt30 to 26/ss's... its that noticeable (feels so much stronger at 3000rpm where the 5/bt30 had nothing till 4) i dont think those small differences are whats doing it, least of all a stock ECU

I'm going to really have to go in a car with GT-SS, from what you're saying they spool better than the stock twins?!

comparing the response of a rb26 to a rb25 is about the same as a rb25 to a rb20

Well I can't imagine what an RB26 with a GT30R would be like if thats true (which I doubt)!!! My car seriously makes GTRs feel lazy down low, and nothing too special up high. A stock turbo R32/R33 GTR feels like they have nothing on mine anywhere in the rev range, in my opinion. Again weight comes into it, but the thing even at part throttle starts pushing nicely from 3000rpm - if you still have much throttle by 3500rpm then you're probably breaking a law if you are on a public road.

Well i have a GT3076r ... and producing 270rwkw @17 psi @3500rmp

still with standard manifold and plemum

Been thinking bout this turbo to replace my stockers (rb26), response would be excellent. Full boost @ 3800-3900 with the stockers. With 18psi it had 337hp atw. So better response, peak hp. Main reason is the simplicity as a lot of others have pointed out. Hate the clutterd stock setup, especially after having a 13bt with a basically empty engine bay & a 45min job to replace a turbo.

Quick question & sorry to hijack but how would you retain 02 sensors on a factory ecu?
