ok, i was heading onto the highway after work to day, give it a bit, from 60km-100km

and noticed what looked like a BIG cloud of durty smoke,at the same time i could here a strange sound from the engine bay(like a grinding/rattleing sound)???

clearly this cant be good, could this be a turbo problem(it is the standars turbo), or could it be a number of different kind of things?

i'm going to see a mechanic this week but thought i would ask here to get peoples thoughts

oh should the boost gauge sit on 0 when the car is idoling, i also noticed it has dropped to the bottom of the gauge

oh and dors anyone no any good mechanics on the gold coast(around southport) i dont want to have to go as far as brissy to get fixed if dont have to)

boost gauge should not be on zero....

puff of smoke could have just been fuel though if your getting grinding sounds in conjunction ect. I'd be getting it to a mechanic asap (dont boost it till then).

i thought it may have been fuel, but it was a hell of a lote ,car will be sitting on the shed ,so here i come public transport,oh heah
