Polishing a rim for $30 a wheel? thats cheap.

Ussually most wheels have a paint attached, this needs to be stripped. Most often than not most dished wheels also have a clear coat on the lip or dish (even though its metal colour) this also needs to be stripped.

More often than not in NSW your looking at $80+ a rim.

Then more for painting if you wish to paint certain bits.

Chroming is quite expensive and I asked for my rocker covers, plenum, cooler pipes to be done I was quoted $750. Most chroming is done out of house at another company so this is why a higher price is charged. Turn around is about 2-3weeks from what I was told.

if you only want the lip done, take it to a place that repairs rims, they could just machine the lip then you can polish it yourself.

$80 a rim is normally to fix dents and repair - OR - change colour of the rim completely

yeh any wheel repair shop will be able to turn it on the lathe and polish it up for you.

on a side note, ive got bronze volk racing SE37's and i used a meguires rim 'spray and wash' cleaner, so i did my front drivers side rim, rinsed it off and its now left like a hazy white fog in some areas ! it said its suitable for aftermarket rims, clear coast safe bla bla

how do i clean this shit off !?

think Volk use annodising to colour their rims .. sounds like its started to etch the surface and remove the annodise :

check the MSDS of the exact wheel wash you used.

titanium lips are titanium, you would need a 3 piece wheel, then buy the outer lip section seperate in titanium.
