I was debating between a rb20det or rb25det for my car (USA spec s14). After researching this site I have concluded that the rb25 has a better design therefore creating more power potential in the long run?

but then again the rb20 is cheaper and since my car is lighter than any skyline it should be more than adequate for my car?

plus the rb24det concept is very interesting to me, but unfortunately i haven't found much info on that engine can anybody tell me anything about it?

Not really interested in the rb30. I mean its a beast of engine but it sounds too beasty.

Personally I like rb20s better than rb25s, but maybe that's just because I own a rb20? Do you plan on modifying the engine after you put it in? If you used the money you saved on buying a rb20 and put it into mods it'd probably be putting out more than the rb25. I think the rb25 makes 25 more hp than the rb20 (someone correct me if I'm wrong). 25hp on a rb20 is real easy to come by.

side note sorry about all the stupid post asking information that is totally obvious to y'all. but i'm from the states, texas to be exact and I really want a rb swap of some sort. so i figure i ask ppl who have had alot of experience with the engines before i make my purchase.

RB25DET all the way.. unless there is a massive price difference involved..

Even SR20DET would do you pretty well, but I believe they're don't come as standard in the US-spec 200sx (I guess hence the reason for your conversion :D

Well the rb25det has more pontential to run a bigger turbo, and therefore create more power. On a stock engine the rb25det im told has no worries working away at 250rwkw all day long, but the rb20det is starting to get streched of its capabilities.
