thats some freaky shit happening to this f**ked up society

if i decided not to stop in the middle of no where and pull up at the next servo (if no ones around and i think his a poser)

is that illegal?

Well imo, you've got to weigh it up. This is how I would:

1) If you're in the middle of no where, what are the chances that cops are out there too.

2) Consider the road you're on, do many people use it. I don't think cops will be sitting on roads when say only 1 or 2 cars pass in an hour..unless they're just bumming around.

3) If the guy looks like a poser, just drive normal and yeah go to the next servo or somewhere where people are at.

This reminds me of my last road rage incident, where I was driving through Nedlands area in my mum's Camry and all of a sudden this guy that passes me going opposite direction starts following me. He then over takes me, and then drives at like 30kmph. I get annoyed, and over take the dude (he was in some RS Liberty) and then it's on like Donkey Kong. At the time I was the way to an opening of an art exhibition in the area.

I get to the place, however do a U-turn at a t-junction. The guys in the car behind are yelling 'Stop your car etc'. I then go back and pull right out the front of the gallery where about 20 people are standing outside. I get out of my car with camera gear etc, and they pull up next to my car. Two big guys get out and are like 'You f**ken hit my sister's car!!' and I'm like 'wtf dude' and then I think they realised they had the wrong person as there was no visible damage on my car and they jump back in and speed off. I was a tad shaken by what had just happened and people from the exhibtion come out to see if I'm alright. After the event (an hour or so) I leave. Just as I'm about to get on Stirling Hwy, the same guys pop right back out again and pull up next to me. I was like 'Not again'.

They look over, and then realise its me and reverse straight away and pull over to the side of the road where they came out from.

This reminds me of an incident a mate of mine had coming back from Freo one night, now he has a pretty distinct Kermit green FJ turbo 1600 and him and his GF are coming back from dinner and drinks in Freo at about 11Pm when somebody in a dark coloured Falcodore sedan comes up behind him flashing his lights etc and being as this was a few years ago (early 90's) he slows down pulls over and steps out of the car, upon doing this he looks at the sedan and see's two rather large dude's getting out with one of them carrying a big f**k off knife in his hand. Needless to say Dave got back in his 1600 and got the fark outta dodge, luckily the 1600 was one very well sorted little unit and getting away from an early 90's Folden was no real task but he was pretty shaken up for a few days after. There's some real crazy units floating around thats for sure, even back then.

Joondalup shoppin center with my besti, hell kreepy looking dude came up to us and was like, wow your both so pritty can i take u out to dinner, bla blah ( we were like 17 and he was like 50 sumthin and creepy ) I was like, um no, and walked off, he followed us threw the shops... so we made many detours threw the car park to my skyline, then outa nowhere he pops back up ( oh what does SN1P3R stand for? does it mean your nasty in bed, mumble mumble ) i was like, dude, just back off, or ill call the cops ( talking asloud as i could so others could here ) we both jumped into the car and made quicktime outa there... later on, down waneroo rd, come up to gnagara rd wanneroo rd set of lite, HE IS IN THE CAR NEXT TO US... follwed us all the way to perth, i mean i was crying i was that scared, and i was in and out threw traffic on the fwy and he was keeping up... i called my bf and told him the story, and he was like just come back here and if he follows, well ill have some mates here, and we'll sort things out... He follwed us from Joondalup, to perth city, threw midland, back out to balga, we pulled into the drive way, and he cruised past slowly, calling us both Sl_ts and thats were nasty cheap Bi!tches and that was cant keep our leggs closed, and that he was going to kill us ect ect.... well... i dont think i cryed so much.... called the police, they got him, But there was nothing they could do, because he has "MENTAL" problems.... Ok fair enough he's got those, but to stalk to young chicks for 1hr all the back to my house, IS NOT RIGHT!!!!

Have also been pulled over by cop impersonators in a dark coloured vy/vz with red and blue flashy lights in there headlight on Reid hwy, they flew past, and i saw the P plate... wasnt impressed!!!!!! couple of my mates have been done over by the same car load!!!

personally if it was me... and it seemed a bit dodgy especially at night with not many poeple around i would not of hesitated to leave them in the dust.

if it was really the police, they should of made it obvious to me it was, and not someone trying to hijack my ride.

I dont think its right for police to "stalk" other cars.... more so again at night, with no other cars around.

Just what i think anyway... Dont leave things to chance when it comes to something like this... there are alot of sickos out there.

the most longest chase to date LOL

he sure has persistance, naybe next time drive to a police station?

hahaha its all where now??

yeah its hard to tell in the dark of the night, i rekn they were up to somethin dodgey, just how they were sitting at the council depot with the boot open

yeah one day everyone will go the way of the independant vigilante taking matters into there own hands so if a group of people pull someone over they'll soon wish they hadnt......

im almost at that point....

ive been followed before, probably just by road rage ppl, doubt they after my car or anything lol. just bogans who dont like getting chopped, follow you for half an hour, when u turn off they do the necessary fly by with fingers a blazin

had the cops follow me too. not for ages though. followed me from leeming to canning vale (12 k's ?) and didnt put theyre lights on until i was turning into my drive way. dunno what they were up to cos i hadnt done anything lol. Probably just waiting for me to slip up

Their was a story happend awhile ago about the same kid of matter and yes this guy did get mugged and his car stolen but these guys didnt give up they chased him throwing shit until he got out,

guys be carefull dont stop the the lights even then keep going lol

It all happened for me back in 1962. Old Jimmy and I were playing with out street carts and the local bobby came up. It was a terrible time. He took down our details. We got scared when the police officer was wearing a dress so we ran to the old barn that burnt down in the bush fires of 61. We must have hid there for YOOOONKS.

Before we knew it, it was night time. So we snuck back into town. Careful to watch out for the old bill chasing us. When we got home, our parents were not happy.

I for one was very scared. In future if the police man is wearing a dress. run.

run like f**k.

    • I myself AM TOTALLY UNPREPARED TO BELIEVE that the load is higher on the track than on the dyno. If it is not happening on the dyno, I cannot see it happening on the track. The difference you are seeing is because it is hot on the track, and I am pretty sure your tuner is not belting the crap out of it on teh dyno when it starts to get hot. The only way that being hot on the track can lead to real ping, that I can think of, is if you are getting more oil (from mist in the inlet tract, or going up past the oil control rings) reducing the effective octane rating of the fuel and causing ping that way. Yeah, nah. Look at this graph which I will helpfully show you zoomed back in. As an engineer, I look at the difference in viscocity at (in your case, 125°C) and say "they're all the same number". Even though those lines are not completely collapsed down onto each other, the oil grades you are talking about (40, 50 and 60) are teh top three lines (150, 220 and 320) and as far as I am concerned, there is not enough difference between them at that temperature to be meaningful. The viscosity of 60 at 125°C is teh same as 40 at 100°C. You should not operate it under high load at high temperature. That is purely because the only way they can achieve their emissions numbers is with thin-arse oil in it, so they have to tell you to put thin oil in it for the street. They know that no-one can drive the car & engine hard enough on the street to reach the operating regime that demands the actual correct oil that the engine needs on the track. And so they tell you to put that oil in for the track. Find a way to get more air into it, or, more likely, out of it. Or add a water spray for when it's hot. Or something.   As to the leak --- a small leak that cannot cause near catastrophic volume loss in a few seconds cannot cause a low pressure condition in the engine. If the leak is large enough to drop oil pressure, then you will only get one or two shots at it before the sump is drained.
    • So..... it's going to be a heater hose or other coolant hose at the rear of the head/plenum. Or it's going to be one of the welch plugs on the back of the motor, which is a motor out thing to fix.
    • The oil pressure sensor for logging, does it happen to be the one that was slowly breaking out of the oil block? If it is,I would be ignoring your logs. You had a leak at the sensor which would mean it can't read accurately. It's a small hole at the sensor, and you had a small hole just before it, meaning you could have lost significant pressure reading.   As for brakes, if it's just fluid getting old, you won't necessarily end up with air sitting in the line. Bleed a shit tonne of fluid through so you effectively replace it and go again. Oh and, pay close attention to the pressure gauge while on track!
    • I don't know it is due to that. It could just be due to load on track being more than a dyno. But it would be nice to rule it out. We're talking a fraction of a second of pulling ~1 degree of timing. So it's not a lot, but I'd rather it be 0... Thicker oil isn't really a "bandaid" if it's oil that is going to run at 125C, is it? It will be thicker at 100 and thus at 125, where the 40 weight may not be as thick as one may like for that use. I already have a big pump that has been ported. They (They in this instance being the guy that built my heads) port them so they flow more at lower RPM but have a bypass spring that I believe is ~70psi. I have seen 70psi of oil pressure up top in the past, before I knew I had this leak. I have a 25 row oil cooler that takes up all the space in the driver side guard. It is interesting that GM themselves recommend 0-30 oil for their Vette applications. Unless you take it to the track where the official word is to put 20-50w oil in there, then take that back out after your track day is done and return to 0-30.
    • Nice, looks great. Nice work getting the factory parts also. Never know when you'll need them.
