I thought I would steal Fast Fours idea and put up a Kill Stories thread on Skylines Australia too ;) A place to post your recent kill stories.

Private property of course :D

Just had some mad fun up and down the Great Western Raceway (GWR).

Came across a silver 89 model predule with a stainless exhaust tip and black rims (had a G.P.C. performace sticker on the back??) Didn't think too much of it, gave it a boot and to his credit the thing went pretty good, only had him buy about 2-3 car lengths

If anyone knows anything about this car then I would love to know what is done to it, it was chirping 3rds

We had a couple of more races with the same results.

Then we came across a blue Nissan Gazelle with a fugging huge front mount.

Raced about 5 times and beat him every time, however he seemed to have huge top end cause I chopped him thorugh 1st and 2nd but he started pulling back in 3rd. Must of been an aftermarket turbo cause he was spooling like a bitch

Anyway was a good night :)

Driving through Tamworth one night there was a VT/VX with black windows and big chrome mags. I just thought it was a standard V8 till I found him beside me doing 60, then he just lit the thing up.... I was like wtf. Then he took off and nearly ran into the arse end of some old granny. After that I kept my distance.

Same night I had a run against a orange RX3/808 or capella, I dont know my rotaries that well, and was he kept climbing up to the line to egg me on, soon as it turned green I dropped it and got away pretty quickly, beat him by a mile.... but when he caught up he revved his car up to make the BOV go off...

    • The issue still requires a human to get all the logic right, and each thing being done takes up processing power. Meaning less processing power for other tasks to occur too. It also typically means a team of size 10, is working one everything, vs 5x teams of 3 working on separate products, so less man power to review and perfect it all.   That's the typical issue of AIO. It's also why manufacturers of cars even split tasks out into separate systems, and share data as required
    • Lol, i have and you can buy them in adelaide more just curious if anyone has tested this one in particular
    • Isn't the whole point of this integrated circuit thing to put a bunch of hardware all in one little package? Integration also brings its own benefits, at least in theory. If you were to put an electronic wastegate or do an N54-style vacuum wastegate that is normally fully open but closes under vacuum integrating everything allows you to do tricks like full wastegate bypass at cold start to warm the cats or in eco-mode under a certain torque request to reduce exhaust pumping resistance. Or full bypass as a limp mode if a certain amount of knock is detected. Or managing the compressor so it never reaches the surge point. None of this is strictly necessary per se but standalones generally have good enough boost control. PID control isn't exactly some crazy difficult problem to solve.
    • You've never bought something online before?
    • Hello everybody. I have no idea where to get a ethanol tester besides online and want to run a e30 mix in my bmw m2.
