Knock Sensor?

just wondering what the knock sensor actually shows, as my power fc has a knock sensor display and i have no idea what i should be looking out for! cheers!

it shows any noise coming from the engine. in particular its looking for detonation/pinging.

not 100% sure how they read in value but they read how much knock is in the motor from things like pre spark igniting(detonation) hitting bumps can also effect it
