Hey ppls

just did a auto to manual conversion completed it all yesterday took it for a test run and the hicas light came on and i lost my power steering i took it home and let it sit for a while took it for another run and the same thing about 20 m down the road i lose my power steering ive checked fluid levels plugs in the HICAS ecu in the boot but to no avail could it be from a stuffed battery it did go flat during the conversion took me 3 weeks to do it myself :D workin and all :D have not had a chance to put it on a multimeter yet but if this fails got any ideas on what it could be, could it be the sensor that came out of the auto trans as i have not connected this yet im still running the auto ecu and dont know how to connect this to the manual gearbox I hope this is enough information for some help

What happened when you did the auto/manual conversion with things like speedo cable?

My speedo cable failed and i had exactly the same problem you described. Hicas wasnt getting a speed reading so ran home to mamma and called it quits.

Perhaps the cable for the inhibitor switch isntconnected to anything and sending a fault code to the ECU, maybe the ECU still thinks the car is in Park??????????????????????? Only guessing
