Rough Idle

okay my line has a rough idle

but its only when im in drive and reverse with my foot on the brake. not when the brake is fully on but when its on enough to keep the car stationary on a level surface.

and a bit when its just rolling along with no throttle

but the car is running perfect off and on boost

mods to the car are stated in my sig

what is it. i have been thinking of selling it and i hope its just the car cracking it.

and nothing more sinister (needing a rebuild)

reset stock ecu

if its still present use the idle adjust screw to increase the RPM a little

this would be covered in the nissan sevice manual, there will be a section for troubleshooting idle specific issues

and what RPM idle should and how to increase it etc. if you want it check out mininova.org under bit torrent, it might be in there

did nothing

also noticed that the car is kind of struggling under low revs

before boost comes on it seems like im towing a boat

i dunno

buying a new engine soon to rebuild

Sounds like you have an auto, as Paul said, you should bump up the idle speed a lil to check the effect for testing.

yeah uped and downed the idle did nothing

could it be the gearbox cos it only when its in gear

and changes are pretty heavy

Guess it could be the box dragging the motor, but man im as good with auto's as a l3sbian without fingers, sorry. (I've nothing against ladyLovers btw)
