Identifying RB20/25det gearboxes

Hi all,

i am just wondering if there is anyway to identify the difference between an RB20det and RB25det 5spd gearbox... like is there any cast stamping on them etc etc?

i would assume there is a physical size difference, but i wanna check out under my car to make sure of what i've got. And also to gain knowledge to safe guard myself when i go to purchase a new gearbox... if required.

Rb25 (as compared to the Rb20) looks like you've got the RB20 gearbox and inflated it like a balloon. Can't help you much more than that, I'm sure someone can tell you splines, measurements etc.

But yeah the 25 case is quite visibly bulky to hold more shit.
