i want some words and small sentences converted into japanese.

like if i say "my name is james"

if i remember correctly that is spoken as "boku wa james desu"

but i also want what im saying converted into the symbol form.

Formal version: "watashi wa James desu" ?

I think "Boku" is the informal way to say it.

Google is you friend, for basic translations and small sentences use that.I did a 4 week crash coarse before i went to Japan. It helped alot, though i wish i learnt more.

First one i found, but there are plenty more that go more indepth.
