Hey Guys

Just been having a few issues with my Cima

It has a full electronic dash which only seems to come on after a good hour of driving.

This isnt exactly a good thing as I rarely drive for that long, so most of the time I am guessing how fast I am going and how much petrol I have left

Just wondering if anyone else has had similair problems and if so how they fixed it.

The only thing I can think might be causing it is if the dash runs off a capacitor of some sort and it is being drained of power by some dodgy wiring from the previous stereo install.

Cant think of any other reason why it would take an hour for the dash to actually come on.

I know a few of the silvia's have similair dashes so if anyone knows someone with one them please ask them if they have had any troubles.

I tried it later on and it did not work at all.....guess it might jsut be a lose wire somewere

  • 1 month later...

Just to let other Cima owners know(not that many would have a digital dash)

Mr Sneezy at PLMS Developments has completed repairs to my digital dash, finding 2 capacitors to be faulty.

When I get it back and plug it in I will let you all know if it has fixed the issue
