This is the first car i have had with severe oversteer. I want to reduce it!!

Its got Tein NR suspension, rides very firm, i feel this maybe the cause. Also 17*9 at the rears with 255/40/17 which mean it should hang on, but it doesnt, any good throttle will send the rear out, i might try reducing the back tyre pressures to reduce it.

Anyone elses opinion.

you only reduce ur tyre pressure if you, say driving a 4WD on a sandy beach so your tyre didn't sink.

Or, you go to drag race and need a little tyre wall flex so you get more grip on hard (straight) launch, not just bumping around the track.

For anything else, pump up your tyres with enough pressure in it, coz they're good for corner handling and less rolling resistance will save fuel.

youll need to do some more research. My konis are adjustable, but you have to remove the shock, fully compress it, and rotate the rod to adjust the damping, there are no external adjusters so they dont LOOK adjustable.

Maybe have a look at your rear camber, and make sure there is no rear toe out as previously suggested. Might have excessive rear camber.

I would even take it to a suspension specialist, get them to look at all the suspension mods and alignment, then drive the car, and work from there.

I've got the whiteline kit with adjustable sway bars, front on hard and the rear in the middle. still find that on fast tight corners (eg turning right at lights at around 60, no traffic around!) it has a tendency to understeer just a little, but then to flip into oversteer without much/any warning. can be rather scary and hard to correct, to the point that i have a little less confidence in the car's handling than i feel i should. the rear end is far less "twitchy" than a lot of rwd cars i have driven, but the way it can just snap out on you with no warning worries me.

Question, i guess, is should i try full soft at the rear sway? the shocks are bilstein all round but not adjustable

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
