indeed

been reading that oven cleaner works, but it also eats away teh metal or someshit

also heard this in a forum thread on polishing motorbike frames . obviously the cleaner is caustic, but if you remove it fast enough it should still work,

what are you doing to them afterwards?

yeah i'll give the oven cleaner a try

the lips on my rims are red burgundy atm. i wanna get rid of the color and get em polished up.

asked a couple wheel polishing places and both said they wont do it coz rims are 1 piece and their buffing machiness wont fit in the tight spaces beteen the lip n the spokes...

then your gonna have to do it yourself with small buffing wheels on a drill or something - nasty :(

this forum should help

http://forum.caswellplating.com/metal-poli...ss-session.html

from this thread in fabrication section

without a pic of the wheels, perhaps the sand and scotch brite combination flapper wheels will help sand and polish the lip.

most tool shops should ahve them, and can be used on a drill or preferably on a die grinder
