full day? for just a turbs :S

i was doin my sr swaps in around 2-3 hours and thats with alot of drink breaks :whistling:

it is fairly easy job

1. take off cross over pipe that goes to t/b 2.take off intake pipe, 3.take off exhaust (from dump) 4. undo turbo lines (2 coolant 1 oil in 1 oil return) 5. undo temp sensor which is on the dump 6. undo manifold bolts *you may need to take the heat shield off to get to the many bolts not sure on the rb*

and off she comes... hopefully  be gentle with the stock solid lines as they easily bend, hopefully the ax has braided line which will make life ALOT easier when installing, if using original lines make sure not to bend and replace the copper washers

take off old turbs replace with ax and preferably new turbs to mani gasket aswell as mani to head gasket

then reinstall will just be a matter of reversing the above :ermm:

if u have another car to use give it a shot yaself, whats the harm?

it does really matter as you are taking them all off any way u will see which is which when the oil or coolant comes out

there should be 4 lines 1 each side of the turbs, the line going into the top is the oil feed the bigger hose on the bottom is just the oil return, the 2 either side are coolant. and the oil line will be smaller then the coolant look on the ax and you will see it.

well im not gonna risk stuffing something up so i guess ill just pay the $600! unless someone wants to make themself $300??

lol

cheers adrian

Where you located? I could prob use the warm up for my turbo install. :merli:

When do you want to do it. Weekends work best for me. Preferrably Saturdays while the auto shops are open, there is always something unforeseen to buy. $300 is too much imo, I'd happily help for half that if it suits when I'm available.

And yes, I've done many projects, so I know what I'm doing.
