Jap Dvd Player Hooked Up To Jap Video Screen

Hey just got my r34, has a cool flip up video screen connected to a sony dvd player underneath.

Clearly its set up for NTSC.

Can one add a PAL to NTSC converter somewhere in that setup or something?

Basically can it be converted to play PAL dvds and if so is it expensive.

Meanwhile im just trying to convert my discs to NTSC which is proving to be a pain in the ass.

If one can't convert the sony dvd head unit, if i replace it with say a JVC dvd player for example, that is supposed to read both ntsc and PAL, will this new unit be able to spit out the correct signal to the Panasonic Video screen??
