Due to recently losing my job I think I might have to let go of my baby.....

2001 S15 200sx SPEC-S pewter (australian delivered) with the usual factory features. Only 14000kms (yes thats rite), weekend car, Inmaculate condition both interior and exterior, Always garaged 7 days a week, Dealer servicing, Oil change every 5000kms, comes with RACV full inspection report from March this year.

Bought 3 months ago and since then spent over 5grand putting these BRAND NEW mods (HAVE RECEIPTS AS PROOF) on:

-CES 3 inch turbo back complete exhaust, consist of 3inch CES front/back dump pipe, 3inch HPC mid section, Hi-FLo CAT converter, 2.25inch twin tip magnaflow muffler.

-K&N POD Filter + adaptor

-GFB HYBRID bov

-TRUST VSPL fmic

-CUSCO STRUT tower brace

This car is really like brand new but with mods that make it a much better car imho. Its definately faster :D. This is for someone who is planning to buy an s15 and modding it anyways (its a crime not to! :D). My next plan was to get boost controller, gauge, ecu remap and get reliable 190-200rwkw thereabouts....

Asking : $38500.

Iam in Melb. I have pics I can email to ppl, but SERIOUS PPL only PLEASE. PLS no "this is too expensive for s15" posts, I know an s15 is about $33-4k but consider the mods costs and the LOW milage pls....

    • I definitely agree with you there - I never click on content for cars I would never ever be able to get or compete with/against/be seen next to. Seeing a MX5 compete with a FD RX7 will make people upset though, for sure. Even in 2.5L Turbo form which is pretty grass roots. (or at least as grass roots as classic cars can be) Yes we're all classic car owners now.
    • Wonder what the cause is, but here's hoping it's nothing too serious.
    • People don't always want builds that are overly expensive, or have engineering/registration/insurance issues and head aches that come with them Whilst big dollar builds, and complicated stuff is interesting to watch, there is only a tiny % of people who would actually use this information, or have the spare finances to drop on said builds, whereas the buy a cheap(ish) cool car, and make it better, with a average budget, that the average Joe or Jane could achieve will always be a winner in my opinion
    • Bit of a thread revival, you mentioned wanting a bit more top end before, do you regret not going with the 1.01?
    • It's kind of interesting - They definitely do builds that split the difference between what they like and what will generate views and engagement. The NC Platform always surprises everyone in a good way, in an uncomfortably good way some may say. They could throw a LS in there and arguably have the best (and best performing) car of the entire stable. But that isn't necessarily what draws views, because people viewing don't want to accept the vegetables of a LS NC MX5 being a superior vehicle in every way (including fun) than a RB26 240Z. This is also why there's not a lot of content about the GR Yaris (on the web in general). They're too good, yet 'only a Yaris' The community doesn't want certain cars to be as good as they are - to beat their hero cars, and I believe the NC MX5 is absolutely one of those cars.
