Hi guys,

I've got a car comming in tomorrow and apparently they are now policing whether it has the air con gas removed.

I remember reading somewhere that you don't have to have it removed if you only bring in one car for the year and it's your personal car. Is this still true?

I thought this wasn't the case anymore. There are other threads about it, but can't your compliance workshop handle this? The gas license costs about $3000 a year, but since we bring in a lot of cars per year, it just costs a bit more than $10 per car if you average it out over all the cars.

We do this for all our compliance customers for free, cause it's not really a big deal for us.

David is right, they no longer do the one off exemption. it's either have a licence (as most RAWS should have) or have it de-gassed in japan. as he said your RAW should be on top of it.
