Should A New Turbo Arive Greasy?oily

hey all um my new turbo just arrived and i wanna know if its normal for it to appear relly greasy/oily ..it came in a plastic sealed bag and there was quite a bit of grease round the bag ...??? anyone

hey mate that is normal that is lub for the bearings and all that if it was dry i would be worryed

ummmm might help to determine what type of turbo, hks, trust, greddy? as well... I know when my hks pro s arived the bag itself had a light stain/coating of i would almost call it machine oil not so much as grease as it had the look and smell of that, id almost say its normal to stop any so called surface rusting from occuring whilst in transit from one place to another esp. if it had come from overseas.
