Idling High, No Idea Why!

what would cause my skyline to idle at 1.2k rpm? there are no vacuum leaks, the timing is correct.

is it possibly the ecu? old sensors?

please lend me your advice!

Check the SWITCH part of the TPS. It may not be sending the "throttle closed' signal to tbe ECU.

It's all been covered before.

Is it idling high just at morning start ups? Or at all times?

yes... just had the inlet manifold gaskets replaced... could it be the butterflies sitting open???

this happens all the time, even if the engine is hot.

like has already been said, check your tps values. the tps could have been moved or not put back on properly when your gaskets where changed.

it could be adjusted on the 2 bolts wrong giving a higher voltage to the ecu at throttle of causing it to idle higher. or the throttle on of switch could be faulty and continually giving a "ON" signal.

Hehe, the old cleaning around the butterflies trick. On an RB26, bad, bad idea.
