hey guys ive been looking at getting an exhaust system for my RB20det...

\my question is this... is buying a cheaper dump pipe off ebay a no no? or will it not make much difference?

same goes with an exhaust system. if i get a pre made one or a custom. would it make any difference?

do all exhausts have a drone at a certain RPM?

its all about the quality of the product.

you tend to pay more for HKS NISMO TRUST ect ect because they are made of the best materials. but in saying that you could get the same shit locally made out of the same matieral and save urself 300bux. and it would be the exact same if not better.

in conclusion, cheap exhausts have a bigger chance of drone, less power ect ect. but at the same time if you know where to look, you could snap urself up with a bargain.

we'd be able to answer your question alot better if u could answer these.

Power wanted?

does drone bother u?

Budget?

Current exhaust systeM?

Current mods on whole car?

everything is stock at the moment ... buy bits and pieces .. exhaust, dum pipe, power fc, fmic, better fuel pump and front facing plenum and uping the boost a little

im not sure what figures i would be looking at in terms of power. After these mods i dont think i will make any more in terms of pwer output

Drone does bother me but if its only at a certain rpm i could brobably drive around it

there isn't much difference between the more expensive brands and the cheaper ones except for things like wall thickness. I bought a JJR pipe was cheap but still had good quality and bolted up without a problem. You can notice the change straight away not interms of increased power but in the sense that boost comes up earlier and feels more linear. I wouldnt go an ebay product when they're are companies like JJR who are well known and trusted.
