you considered keeping your standard ecu at all and doing a re-map? would cost you about $700 for a full custom tune on dyno from jeff from speed lab, then you could spend all that cash on other things... ;-) turbo etc etc

its a bit late now matey, i paid half of it yesterday,

and also, im planning on more modifications soon, so a standalone ecu will prob be needed any way.

Thats what i am going to get done to my 33.....but i am saving up for a PFC when i want to be pushing some mad gigawatts.....

hey craig out of interest have you upgraded the fuel pump yet?

If not you may want to do that as well and i would suggest a bosch 044 if you plan on making anywhere near 300 rwkw.

Cheers

not as yet, im hoing to see how this goes first, but yeah, injectors and pump are definately next in the list.

i was told to go for walbro over bosch....not sure what to do.

um just to note bud jeff remapped a stock rb20 ecu just for shits n giggles and with some big mods it made 380rwkw....

and you went n spent 2200? without even having a pump upgrade yet? dont get it tuned unless you have a few more things upgraded otherwise your just throwing money away.

fuel pump

new plugs (gapped down to around .65-.7 if using stock coilpacks)

elec boost controller

z32 afm

im assuming you have full exhaust from dump back, cooler, filter, will be interesting to see the results of a remap Vs power fc

jeff made 204rwkw on 10psi stock rb25

hope all goes well!

can someone please give me jeff's number.....i would like to see how much will it send me back getting my r33 ecu remapped....and would be interesting to see what power figures the 33 can pull out on 10 - 12psi.....since it made 180 on 7psi...

i have every thing you listed there, except the pump, 204 rwkw??? i made 206.5rwkw last week on 11 psi when they put the ebc in. dont believe me? tell me how to do it, and ill upload my dyno sheet.

i got my power fc for 1500 a while ago aswell, back then they were pretty low on them cos of that company that supply a chip or something went bust so they couldn't produce anymore or something. put the thing in myself (it is plug & play) but still waiting to get the money to tune it and got a EBC waiting to go in when it gets tuned too, i can't wait. oh yeah, my tune is 400 but only cos i kinda know sum1. car runs beta even though it hasn't been tuned yet so will be awesome once tuned.

i got the impression it was bad to run the car on an untuned fc?

i have been told to get it tuned kinda asap but haven't had the money & it seems to be running fine anyway, just gota remember not to drive too hard.

well i got her back, they managed to pull out 215 rwkw, thats as far as it can go without injectors and pump, and now on hi boost the engine cuts out for a second, then goes again, and the knock sensor goes up to as high as 94!!! bbbbaaaaaddddd! so low boost it is till it goes back in on tues for pump and injectors...money money money

    • I wouldn't be concerned at all, other than to suggest having them flow tested when you receive them to confirm they are reasonably similar, and then put the highest to lowest flowing ones in cylinder 6,1,5,2,4,3
    • I’m only posting this cause I thought I had seen a bad review on these somewhere before. Any feedback? Would you guys recommend that if I do buy these I send em to RC to have em checked before installing. Or any other suggestions?   https://www.ebay.com/itm/114009965865?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=JDl-15yLQ8C&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=QTzlFXB1S-S&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
    • They see me rollin' they hatin'....... Took me most of the day to make the necessary mods to the mounts to make them fit the car.  Fortunately I was able to just use the mounts that came with the rotisserie. The rear ones are really secure, the front I feel i might reinforce a bit more as it doesn't seem like enough attachment to the vehicle. I'm sure it's fine but better to be safe than (extremely...) sorry.  I drilled and tapped thread into additional M12 holes to each car mount where it attaches to the rotisserie as an extra fail-safe. Without them the side to side movement is just restricted by the allen head pinch bolts, nothing actually goes though the beam. Does now! I still need to adjust the rotisserie to get the car centred in terms of centre of gravity. If it's too high or too low relative to the rotational centre line of the car, it will be like a turtle and roll onto its back or as it currently sits, I dont think I'd be able to rotate it as it sits as it needs to lift the whole car up as it rotates. Ain't happening... I'm going to be nervous as hell the first time I go to spin it on its side...
    • Oh yes done this when the window started flopping around.  Turns out the guides that run along the rail chanel had crumbed way. Took off the door card and pulled out the window mech, then the window, which you have to pull out through the top. As said unbolt the guide rail and don't spend 30 minutes getting frustrated trying to find a way to slide it out upwards cause that don't frigging work. Drop it down and out through the door hole. All I did to repair it was slice some 10mm clear plastic tube, vertically, then screw it to the guide rail both sides. This tubing rolls inward on both sides and leaves a gap wide enough to hold the window. To finish all I did was lube the plastic tube with olive oil and Bob's your uncle . . . well if he has the operation he can be your Aunt ! !  10 bucks in plastic tube and another 5 minute job done again . . . . YEH BULLSH#T ! My love for Skylines knows no bounds !
