i did this to mine but for some reson it made my centrel locking and alarm stop working (the alarm is an after market one)

We laughed so hard on my test drive of the '33 when I chucked it in reverse and that thing started up..... I agree if you need ur car to beep to let you know you're in reverse... you've got bigger problems...

I'd love to be able to leave music on for more than 5mins without the engine running to suffer with the key beep... But it flattens my crappy, tiny battery....

Item #35 on the list... Get a new battery.....

is this the same for r32 also?? as i dont seem to see the box on the right hand side, it looks to be on the left. and on the sticker on the box it says shift lock??

Ha ha i have done the opposite...

Ie i have re-connected mine coz i have never heard it beep and wondered why there was no sound when i left the lights on when i parked up!!

Only thing is coz i have a flat battery (still waiting on new rad) i cant hear it til i charge it up, hopefully this noise isnt too annoying otherwise i will just un-plug it!!!

lol, its kind of pointless having a reversing beep at all in any kind of car, im pretty sure you dont need notification that your driving your car in reverse..

nobody has mentioned whether this method applys to R34 as well, does anybody no how to remove the reverse beep on R34?

...it's gotta go, it's doing my head in.
