It was also on of the last years the R32 was made?? If you have any info or know where I can get some please let me know. Untill then I guess I will keep looking.

I dont really know what you are on about but I think this may answer your question:

- The R32 GTR was built from 1989 - 1994

- The R32 GTS-t was built from 1989 - 1993

The R32 GTR has an RB26DETT - 2.6litre twin-turbo, all wheel drive!

The R32 GTS-t has an RB20DET - 2.0litre single-turbo, rear wheel drive

The all wheel drive on a GTR is not constant AWD. It has 100% power going to the rear and can move upto 50% of that power to the front wheels which it does based on inputs from numerous sensors. Essentially, when the rears loose traction it puts power forward...

Hope that helps.

Ya that does help. But there was no RB20det AWD???

Ah ok, now I know wat you are on about.

There is such a car but it is called the R32 GTS-4.

It has the GTR AWD system with an rb20det. But it is not reffered to as a GTR although some loosers call it a baby GTR. In actual fact the car is pretty underpowered to make good use of the AWD system. With quite a few mods it might be a decent car, but otherwise I would not think so cause it has the power of a gts-t but is heavier due to the AWD and therefore slower. Unless its pouring rain, lol.

LOl OK, but how do you think it would do in a 240sx??? With the RWD trans??

Are you asking to do an engine conversion,

so a RB20DET (GTS-T) in a SR24DE (240SX USA / 180SX AUS)?

If so, Im sure you can, I have seen a S13 Silvia (SR20DET) with a R33 GTS-T (RB25DET) engine conversion.

KA24DE :D

Plenty of information on the RB20's on the forced induced section. How and what's needed to get to 200rwkw for example.

LOL Ya Iam in the USA so a RB25 or 26 isn't that cheap for me unless some has a dope hook up i could get lol

And I am looking to put the RB20det in it but I just dont want to get a old busted one like the redtop so I am making sure I know what comes out of what year and this and that. I was told that the RB20det with AWD was the newest or the RB20s (94 or 96??) But you guys are being a big help.

I see, that explains why its probley hard to get a Skyline engine in cuz you ppl never really had them until now you ppl get the R35 GTR.

Newer maybe one thing but getting an engine thats atleast 15 years old, things are going to be replaced and fixed up. Unless the car is hardly driven and you never know and can oly speculate from its condition.

You could probley get a front half cut from Japan. $5000 - $8000 (Approx) I have not checked for a few years.

Ya I see what you are saying. US never got the skyline and we never got the sr20det or RBs or any cool motor. I think the only thing we got was a vert 240sx lol Other than that we get the gay shit. I should just move to Australia!!! Lol Do they have an electrical union of some sort out there?? lol

Atleast you got the EVO, RX 7 and Supra. LOL!

Electrical Union? Is that you type of work or something?

The RB20DET in the GTSt is basically the same as the RB20DET in the GTS4. The difference is the GTS4 version has an appendage hanging off the side of the sump to hold the differential for driving the front wheels. The sumps are not interchangeable between engines. Other than that, they are mechanically the same.

The early model RB20DET is the "Red Top". It had variable inlet runners, less power. The later model RB20DET is referred to as a "Silver Top".

If you plan on fitting a RB-series engine, go straight to a RB25DET. Newer, more torque.

Australia have the better cars when it comes to Japanese Imports, but when you compare the laws on vehicle modifications, Australia sucks. You see all the Americans running drag radials on the streets with no worries from the police. I would rather live in the US and not have to worry about getting pulled up and defected.

I don't know if things are really like that over there, but from what I've seen...
