Adding Splitfire Coils On High Powered 26' Need Retune?

hey all

got my car tuned today making 565rwhp on 25psi.

the standard coils are starting to fail, so i think i should upgrade them.

currently the plugs are gapped to .6 and i already have a HKS twin power.

Sooooo if i add the splitfire coils and gap the plugs say to .9 would i need any kind of retune??

Get standard 1.1 plugs after fitting the splitfires and a touchup tune will be needed to get maximum power but not a full retune.

Sorry to steal thread but similar boat. Fited spletfires to my gtr a few weeks back and just got an hks twin power few days back, is 1.1mm the gap to run with this combo?

Well start @ 1.1 and go down till its happy really. Bit of effort but every car is different.

As long as your .9 - .8 and no less, no problem.

Just a touch up to the tune needed but nothing major

It can effect the tune. I have seen different plug gaps make big difference on cruise maps and when on boost.

I would get it checked for sure.
