Oil coolers can be placed just above the front mount intercooler, infront of the radiator. So remove the front grill part or whatever its called and let the air blow against it.

Or some have it to the side of the car, in front of the RH wheel as you have said.

As long as air can get to it.

As PAV34 said, only track work it will be usefull, so drift, drag and circut to keep the oil at a lower temp while the car is revving so high.
