Hi,

I recently bought some braided brake lines from Brakewest, and i am going to fit them this weekend.

I was just wondering if the process of bleeding the brakes is any different because i have ABS. Ive only had experience in bleeding non ABS equipped cars.

The car is a 1993 R32 gtst if it makes any difference. If anyone can tell me the process involved, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Shaun.

You can bleed the ABS unit if you wish.

Disconnect the battery, bleed calipers as per usual then bleed the front nipple of the ABS unit then the rear nipple.

Thanks Deren,

So what you are saying is that there are bleeding nipples on the ABS unit like those on the calipers? (I cant check, as im at work at present). If so, do i bleed the one cloest to the front of the car, then the rear most one?

Thanks again,

Shaun

No problem,

Yeah bleeders like caliper bleeders are located on the ABS unit. One is closer to the firewall than the other. Thats the rear one. You bleed the front one first then the rear one. Do that after you have bled the system as per usual.
