Since when have you needed an engineer's cert for this?

My bunky has/had a 26, gtr brakes gearbox suspension and god-ugly m's pods when I bought it unrego'd and put it over the pits.

Failed on the first try, had to get the reverse lights working and replace a tie-rod end. Wire on the reverse switch and a wipe over the tie rod with a clean rag and it was through no probs.

This was about 2 years ago, so it might have changed since then, but no mention was ever made about having to do anything else.

26 was an option... 30 was not ADR's state that you can only swap engines with another optioned engine (i.e. that model [R32] came out with 2L turbo, 2.5L non turbo, 2.6L twin turbo) and not be required to go over the pits.. I believe there is also a capacity increase limit if I recall correctly.
